Compatibility of Trailer Hubs with Mobile Home Axles
Question:
Wondering if you could help determine if my trailer house axles can be converted to regular hubs

The answer to your question will depend on what bearings your existing hubs use.
Although mobile home axles are designed for a one-time use only, people still use them for trailers. Using mobile home axles and wheels seems like a great idea at the time folks are constructing a homemade trailer. They are inexpensive and readily available. The problem is that many times, replacement parts are not available, once again, because the axles are not meant to be reused.
It's likely that your best bet for the long run from the safety and availability of replacement parts standpoint would be to replace the mobile home axles with trailer axles, but that being said if you'd reply with the reference numbers from your existing wheel bearings, I'd be happy to check to see if we offer anything compatible.
If you cannot find or make out the reference numbers from the bearing cages you can use a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to measure the surfaces of the spindle where the inner and outer bearing ride. With that information, we can usually determine the compatible bearings.
