Will the Thule OutWay Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Work on a 2010 Hyundai Genesis

Greetings: In a video response to a similar question, you confirmed that the TH45JV will work with a 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan. I have the 2010 model of this vehicle. The Fit Guide on the Thule web site suggests this carrier should work with my vehicle, however, when looking at the 29 page Instruction Manual, it indicates otherwise. On page 17, it identifies a Fit Tip 146inch which on page 29 is translated to mean Carrier is not recommended because it cannot be installed without unwanted contact. So I am confused about whether this rack will work with my vehicle or not without causing damage. Can you provide any clarification on whether the TH45JV will work? If it wont, is there a trunk mount carrier that you would recommend that would? Thanks for your help! Ron

If you have a 4 door 2010 Hyundai Genesis the Thule OutWay 2 Bike Carrier # TH45JV would work for you, but if you have a 2 door model Genesis this rack will not work for you.

If you do have the 4 door and you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes without a horizontal top tube you might also be interested in purchasing a Thule Bike Adapter Bar # TH982XT to provide a horizontal top tube for the rack to attach to easier.
