The Hopkins 4 to 7 way adapter # 37185, is a universal hardwire application and it will work with the 4-way on your 2005 Honda Pilot. However, you will still just have lighting functions on the trailer unless you hardwire in the remaining wires on the adapter.
You will need to ground the white wire regardless of any other wiring that is needed so that it functions correctly. The purple wire is for reverse lights or for an electric reverse lockout on trailers with surge couplers. If the trailer does not have either feature, it can be taped up and stowed out of the way.
The black wire is for 12 volt power for accessories on the trailer that require it. The blue wire is for trailer brakes. If these features are not needed on the trailer these wires can also be taped up and stowed out of the way.
If you do need some or all of these functions, I recommend using the 4 and 7 way installation kit # ETBC7. This will provide the same adapter plus all of the wiring you will need to make it fully functional. If the trailer does have electric brakes you will need a brake controller to power them.
For a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha P2 because it is easy to set up and easy to use. I have included some links that explain the ETBC7 installation and the brake controller installation.
