Does Plug-In Wiring Adapter fit 2017 Chevy Silverado and Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller
Question:
Hello, Im wondering if my Primus Cequent controller I removed from my 2011 Chevy Silverado that had the wiring spliced into the trucks braking system could be installed in my new truck 2017 Silverado. Ive searched A***** and found a wire adapter with two plugs one for the controller and one for inside the black box under the footwell. Will type part # 3016-P for Tekonsha work on this controller/truck? If not, do you have a recommended part # so no splicing wires is required? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

While I am not sure which part you are referring to in regards to the competing online retailer, what I can tell you is that the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3016 is absolutely compatible and will not require any splicing to work with the Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller # TK90160.
You will just unplug the pigtail that was on the Primus IQ and plug the adapter into it and into the port under your Silverado.
I have added a link to a video showing the Wiring Adapter # 3016 being plugged into a Silverado for you.
