Recommended Hitch, Wiring and Ballmount to Tow Lightweight Trailer With 2020 Honda PIlot
Question:
I want to tow a very lightweight trailer with my 2020 Honda Pilot. What parts do I need? I do not have a hitch and the trailer does not have brakes. My coupler height is 17 inches.

To tow a lightweight trailer with the 2020 Honda Pilot you will need a hitch, wiring, pin, ball mount and ball.
For the hitch I recommend, etrailer Trailer Hitch Receive part # e98840 which has a nice matte finish that does not show scratches as easily as the other options for the Honda Pilot. It is a concealed cross tube so the only part of the hitch that is visible once installed is the receiver. I have attached a photo and a video for your reference.
You will need wiring to illuminate the lights on the trailer, for that I recommend Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package part # 118760. The Tekonsha brand wiring has proven to be more reliable compared to the other brands available especially the converter boxes.
For the ball mount I recommend part # C45554 which is going to come with a ball mount with 2" rise that you need to tow the trailer level. It has comes with a locking pin and hitch cover.
