Parts Needed to Add 7-Way to 1968 Chevy Truck
Question:
I have a 1968 Chevy K10 truck. It currently doesnt have any wiring for trailer lights. I would like to install a 7 way plug with a break controller. What would you recommend?

To add a 7-way to your 1968 Chevy K-10 truck you will need to start with a 4-way, and the right kit for your truck is the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit with Circuit Tester # 18252. You will then need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7, which will give you a 4-way to 7-way connector, circuit breakers and the rest of the hardware needed to install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I recommend the Brake EVN # TK63VRwith Harness # 20127 because it is a quality but cost-effective controller that will give you smooth braking when pulling your trailer.
I have added links to video reviews as well as a couple links to help articles on installation which I recommend checking out.
