Is There a 2 Inch Trailer Hitch for a 2012 Volkswagen Golf TDI
Question:
I was wondering if the 2inch ECO Stealth Hidden hitch applications for the MKVI sportwagen will fit on the MKVI golf of the same era? I am not planning on Pulling anything just wanted to be able to use my 2inch hitch accessories I already had accumulated? - for Bikes and skis and kayaks? I like the look of the stealthy removable receiver and have my truck to haul / pull anything.... your help is greatly appreciated

The only trailer hitches available for a 2012 Volkswagen Golf TDI is the Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame Receiver Hitch part # 24825 and Curt Class I Round Tube Receiver Hitch part # C11000. The Draw-Tite hitch and Curt hitch both have a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening which is all that is available for the Volkswagen Golf. The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7317 which is for a Volkswagen Jetta will not work.
I understand you would like to be able to use your 2" hitch accessories and I do have an option for that in the Brophy Hitch Adapter part # HTAD or part # HT5R but keep in mind these adapters reduce your tongue weight capacity by 50%. That said, you really don't have any other options.
