Air Bags For 2020 Ram 2500 4WD Towing 5th Wheel Trailer and Is A Compressor Kit Required?

best air bags for 2020 Ram 2500 4WD towing a fifth wheel trailer? Do i need a compressor kit? If i dont get a compressor kit what will happen

For the 2020 Ram 2500 4WD I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle part # F2598 because they install without drilling with a 5th wheel hitch in the bed compared to other brands that require drilling through the frame brackets of the hitch to install the bags. The Firestone bags are also 4 layers of rubber compared to the other air bag brands 2 layers. They are also designed with a rolled crimped seal compared to the other brands metal band that keeps them attached to the roll plate making them overall more durable and less likely to tear.
A compressor system is not required although I do recommend Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Standard-Duty Compressor part # F2158. If you don't add a compressor system the worse that can happen is you will have to stop at a gas station to air up the bags or carry around a bulky compressor in your truck. It is definitely more convenient to just add one to the setup.
