Parts Needed to Tow a Trailer with a 2020 Toyota RAV4

We definitely have everything you need to tow a trailer with your 2020 Toyota RAV4.

First, the trailer hitch receiver I recommend is the Curt, part # C13416. Curt hitches have a thicker powder coating on them than other brands so the hold up to scratching better. The installation is pretty straightforward and just bolts to the RAV4's frame with the included 4 bolts. I linked a video that shows the process on a 2019 which is the same for your 2020.

To go with the Curt hitch I recommend the Curt wiring harness, part # C56434. It's a 4-way connector to power your trailer's lights that plugs into connectors on the RAV4 that are behind the access panels in the rear cargo area. You also run a power wire to the Toyota's battery. I attached an article about running the power wire as well as a video of the entire harness being installed.

For everything else you need our ball mount kit, part # 989900, should have you covered. It includes a couple ball mounts and hitch balls of different sizes along with the pin and clip. This gives you some options on different trailers you might tow.
