Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2010 Chevy 1500 Truck

i currently have a 2010 chevy 1500 wt. It came from the factory with the HD tow package. i am looking to haul horse trailers through mountain passes. I was looking at D13614 for my truck. My ? is if this is a goo choice. What is the weight rating for this cooler. i know it is a class v but there is not specific weight rating. The second part of the ? is that is already has an aux cooler added to the trans line mounted in front of the radiator that came from the factory. So there is the radiator and also a second cooler. this cooler measures smaller than the one i am looking at getting. Would i just replace the one mounted in front of the radiator with this class . what are your sugestions?

The Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13614 that you referenced would be a good choice for your 2010 Chevy 1500 truck. This cooler has a GVW rating of 22,500 lbs.
You can either bypass the factory cooler altogether, or you can run the coolers one after the other. I would recommend you run the fluid first through the factory cooler and then to the # D13614 and then back to your transmission. This would optimize the cooling of your transmission fluid.
