Roof Rack and Ski Carrier That Can Be Moved Between 3 Different Vehicles
Question:
I need to get a roof top ski rack, but i do not have the cross bars on any of my vehicles. Are there universal fit crossbars that would work for a 2017 Explorer, 2020 Grand Cherokee, 2018 Acadia?

I have the perfect solution that will allow you to mount a ski carrier on a variety of different vehicles. I recommend using the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B which uses heavy duty suction cups to attach to your vehicles instead of using a vehicle specific foot pack and cross bars. The SeaSucker Monkey Bars are FAR superior to other universal racks in terms of fit, quality and durability. These suction cups are rated at 210-lbs of pull pressure each to provide a secure fit on your vehicle, plus these bars are light weight for easy removal to switch vehicles and for storage when they're not in use.
A roof rack ski holder that works well with the SeaSucker Monkey Bars is the Yakima FatCat Evo 6 # Y03096, which will allow you to carry up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards; it will also allow you to carry up to 8 fishing rods when it's not ski season! The SkiLift system on the FatCat Evo 6 make it possible to accommodate tall bindings and this carrier comes with integrated locks for added security.
Since the SeaSucker does not come with locks to secure the rack to your vehicle, I recommend adding a cable lock like the Yakima # Y07233 and the SeaSucker Window Anchors # 298-BA0010. With the Yakima Same Key System Cable Lock you'll be able to add lock cores with # Y07202 (2 cores) or # Y07204 (4 cores) to match the locks on your FatCat Evo 6 system and have to carry only 1 key to operate the locks on everything.
