Tow Bar, Base Plates and Accessories Needed to Flat Tow 2001 Honda CRV
Question:
Please can you confirm I have the right combination for my 2001 Honda CRV ? Roadmaster base plate # 1528-3 Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar Coupled with Brake buddy Vantage. Do all the necessary cables come with the tow bar or is this seperate ? Thanks in advance

The Roadmaster # 1528-3 base plates and the Falcon 2 tow bar would both work very well with your 2001 Honda CRV.
You will also need safety cables which are not included with the tow bar, like part # RM-645. The Falcon 2 actually has guides built into it to keep the cables from being tangled or damaged.
You will also need a wiring solution so that the tail lights on the CRV work in tandem with those of the RV. The Roadmaster Bulb and Socket Kit, part # RM-155 is an easy to use and install alternative. The bulbs will install in holes drilled in the rear of the tail light assemblies, allowing your tow bar lighting to remain completely independent of the CRV wiring.
According to my research, the CRV is flat towable with no modifications being necessary. I would recommend consulting the owners manual, and reading and following any recommendations listed in the Emergency Towing section.
