How Does the DeeZee Universal Truck Tailgate Mat Install On a 2019 Ford F-150
Question:
How does this universal product fit on a 2019 Ford F-150 XLT with a 5.5foot bed? I recently bought the DZ bed mat and that is a 99 fit for this truck and I gave it a 5-star rating. This generic mat concerns me a bit, since it was not specifically tailored for the F-150s curves and indents on the tailgate, in contrast to the bed mat that was a perfect fit. Please advise.

The DeeZee Universal Truck Tailgate Mat part # DZ86700 installs via screws which are attached by drilling into the tail gate as you can see in the attached photo. The DeeZee Universal Truck Tailgate Mat won't contour to the indents in the tail gate but rather cover them as the mat is pretty thick therefore you don't have to worry about any low spots.
That said, it sounds like you are after a custom-fit option which does contour to the indents so if that is the case then you will want to use the WeatherTech TechLiner Custom Tailgate Liner part # WT3TG08 which is also a drill-free option and the only custom option available. It would work just fine alongside the DeeZee Bedliner you already have as well.
