What is the Distance Between the Arms of the Thule Gateway Bike Carrier

I have a womens roadster bike, and Im wondering if this would work? Could you tell me the distance between the rails?

I went out and pulled a Thule Gateway 3 Bike Carrier # TH78VR from our warehouse and measured the distance between the arms and found that from outside to outside the arms measure 9-3/4 inches. And the distance between the arms is 7 inches.
