Selecting Right Ball Mount for Trailer Hitch on 2019 Honda Passport

Question:

Would you be able to tell me which ball hitch adapter would be best to get me to 15 inches to the top of the ball when mounted on the 2019 Passport? I currently just installed this on our 2018 Pilot and purchased the 2 inch and wondering if this will work with the Passport as well.

We haven't gotten a chance yet to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76290 on the 2019 Honda Passport, so I can't be sure where exactly the 2" receiver sits in relation to the ground when mounted. If you have the hitch installed already you can take a measurement from the ground to the top of the 2" receiver to get your ground clearance measurement. Then it's just a matter of choosing a ball mount with a rise/drop that gets you to the desired 15" height.

If you don't yet have the hitch installed and would rather not wait to get the right ball mount, the best I can tell you is that the receiver is going to pretty much sit right under the rear bumper fascia (see attached image from the install manual). If you measure from the ground up to the bottom of this fascia on your Honda Passport, and subtract maybe an inch, you will get a pretty good estimate of what your ground clearance measurement will be.

A really good option to consider is the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which includes a couple different ball mounts with differing rise/drops (3/4" rise or 2" drop and 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop) that will likely get the hitch ball where it needs to be on your Passport. Otherwise I have attached a link below that will take you to our complete selection of ball mounts that you can look through.
