Are There Different Versions of the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM Pucks
Question:
I purchased a Demco 6194 adapter used as the previous owner puechased a 2020 GMC . This fits my 2018 GMC short box fine but there are no adjusting screws for the pucks as some folks have described. Are there 2 styles of this adapter . ? thanks

Correct, there are two different versions of the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package part # DM6194. The early version as you mentioned does not have the adjustable feet like the new version does. The adjustable feet were added to prevent the hitch adapter from rocking back and forth. If you are having issues with the adapter rocking then you would be wise to upgrade to the new version but if you don't have any rocking issues then you are fine to use the adapter you have now.
