Gain On Brake Controller for 2014 Ram 2500 With Not Adjust and No Power To Trailer Brakes
Question:
I check the 30 amp fuse in #F11 and it is good but I have no power to the trailer brackets either with the pedal or pusher or when gain switch is moved. Also, gain always say 3.5, never increases or decreases when you slide the mover. Do you think the module is bad?

Yes, it does indeed sound like your brake controller is faulty. In order to test this you will need to sever the blue wire from behind the brake controller and test this with a multi-meter while the gain is turned all the way up. If you do not get a full 12 volts then you will need to replace the brake controller. It sounds like you may have a factory brake controller which is going to be expensive to repair.
If you replace the factory brake controller with an aftermarket brake controller like the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 using the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers part # 3023-P you could save yourself come cash. The Tekonsha Primus IQ is also going to perform much better than your factory brake controller.
Please note, you may need to take your truck into the dealer to have the factory brake controller tuned off if an engine light appears after it is bypassed.
