How to Wire Wesbar 271574 Tail Light to Ranger Trailer with Yellow/Brown and Red Wires
Question:
My existing trailer lights on the drivers side have different colored wires. yellow and brown as well as a red wire on the left side of the trailer. How are thes attached? the existing wiring on my trailer does not have the two prong connectors either.

It's likely the yellow/brown wire on your old light is the left turn/stop circuit and the red is the running light circuit. The only way to be sure is to test the wire functions on your trailer.
On the Wesbar Wraparound LED Tail Light # 271595, the red is the stop/turn circuit and the black is the running light circuit. It's worth mentioning that we've received feedback from some customers that have stated these tail lights aren't the best choice for a Ranger trailer since they curve to the opposite direction, requiring them to install these upside down and since the driver side features the license plate illumination on the bottom, it means it will end up on the top of the passenger tail light.
Since your trailer doesn't have the 2-prong connectors anyway, instead I recommend the Wesbar LED Tail Lights # 271574 (passenger side) and # 271575 (driver side).
If you find that your yellow/brown is in fact your left turn/stop circuit, wire the new lights as follows:
Wesbar Passenger Light 271574
Red - to - Yellow/Brown on trailer
Black - to - Red on trailer
White - to - White on trailer OR Ground to chassis.
Wesbar Driver Light 271575
Red - to - Green/Brown on trailer
Black - to - Red on trailer
White - to - White on trailer OR Ground to chassis.
I suggest using heat shrink connectors, # DW05744-5, along with some self-fusing tape # DW04367 to create a truly water tight seal on your Ranger boat trailer.
