We do have baseplate kits for the new 2020 Ram 1500. If you need a direct connect base plate, take a look at the Roadmaster # RM-522203-5 , which offer a quick and easy installation as well as a concealed design to make them barely visible when not in use. The built-in pull rings let you unlock arms so you can twist and remove them to make attaching and detaching the draw bars easy.

If you've got a crossbar style tow bar, you'll need to use the Roadmaster # RM-522203-4 . If the brake lights do not work with the towed vehicle's ignition key turned to the "tow" position, you need a brake light switch kit to provide a signal to the supplemental braking system. To accomplish this you can use the Universal Stop Light Kit # RM-751000 .

If you don't already have a complete flat towing setup, you'll need parts from a few other categories as well: tow bar, high/low adapter, safety chains, supplemental braking and lights. I've put together a short list of recommendations in the event that you do need some of these components.

Tow bar: Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain # RM-522 (will work with either direct connect or crossbar base plates)

Safety Chains/Lights: Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Kit # RM-9243-1 (Includes wiring kit, power cord, mounting bracket, safety cables, padlocks, tow bar cover, and a vinyl bag to store it all) The diode kit that comes with this allows you to splice into the taillight wiring so that your RV controls the vehicle taillights and does not require drilling into the taillight housings.

Supplemental Braking: Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. This is the easiest to setup and use; this system applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles. If your RV has air brakes you'll want to go with the Air Force One # SM99243

High/Low Adapter: I've linked all of our adapters below as well as an article that explains how to measure to find the correct one needed.

This is a lot of info to process if you're new to flat towing, so please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions or need recommendations more specific to your RV/Motorhome.
