I have a 2004 Hornet by Keyststone, it is 30foot in length, and has a gross weight of 10,000 lbs dry weight. What capacity Jack should I use? Thank you.

Helpful Expert Reply:

Since the trailer jack is only supporting a portion of the trailer's weight, I recommend a 4,500 lb jack for your 10,000 lb trailer. The tongue weight of your trailer should between 1,000 lb to 1,500 lbs so a 4,500 lb jack would be more than enough capacity for your trailer. Going with a higher capacity than needed allows the jack to work with ease. It will complete the job faster and it will last longer.

I recommend the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 23" Lift - 4,500 lbs - Black
Item # SC63VR7 for your 2004 Hornet by Keystone.
