Swagman Trailer Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Locks for a 2008 Ford F-350 with 2-1/2 Inch Receiver
Question:
I have a 2008 f-350 Superduty with the 2 1/2 inch receiver with a 2 inch sleeve inside. Will the hitch pins supplied or a locking hitch pin 5/8 diameter,i.e. S64030, S64027 be long enough to go completely through the hitch? Thank you.

Expert Reply:
The Swagman lock, # S64027 or # S64030, will be long enough at a span of 3-7/16 inches. This lock is for Swagman bike racks that only fit in 2 inch receivers. If you have a Swagman rack that fits 1-1/4 or 2 inch receivers, the correct lock is # S64031 or # S64029. However, the span on this lock is 2-5/8 inches and will not be long enough for a 2-1/2 inch receiver.
If you will be using the bike rack I had recommended earlier it would use Swagman lock # S64027 or # S64030 and would fit the 2-1/2 inch receiver.
The threaded bolt that comes with the rack would also work fine as long as it is tightened down correctly.
