Question:

Hello, what is the difference between the pace Edwards ultra groove and ultra groove metal? Like the main differences, which parts are plastic vs metal, mainly like a comparison between the two. I have tried to look up the differences but cant find much besides its metal. 2014 f150 supercrew 5.5ft, bed factory spray in bedliner

The Pace Edwards Ultra Groove is constructed of a vinyl top with a series of metal panels underneath. This cover is much lighter than the Metal version. If the cover is damaged, most of the cover will need replacement.

The Ultra Groove Metal uses a series of aluminum ribs that interlock with flexible seals in between the ribs. This cover is heavier and more durable. Should a few of the ribs become damaged, they can be individually replaced. If it's just one or two ribs, you can swap them out for the first few at the front and they won't be visible. Either cover listed below will fit your truck UNLESS it's fitted with the optional cargo management rails.

UltraGroove, # 311-KMF2843
UltraGroove Metal # 311-KRF2843

The # 311-KMFA19A45 that you'd looked at isn't the right fit for your truck. It's for a newer model with an 8 foot bed.

If you click the provided link, you can see product description videos for both covers.

Interested in of the Pace Edwards Metal Tonneau covers, but can not find weight specs. Will my wife and myself be able to install it? We are not young.

If you have the same pickup as Steven and are looking at the options that Mike gave him then here are the shipping weights: UltraGroove # 311-KMF2843 - 57 lbs UltraGroove Metal # 311-KRF2843 - 89 lbs You can count on about 4 or 5 lbs of that shipping weight to be packing materials so we are looking at about 52 lbs and 84 lbs respectively. Here is an installation video of the UltraGroove Metal (different part number) being installed on a '17 F-250 that you can reference to see if it's something you think you and your wife will be able to accomplish on your own or not.
