Determining if Pre-Wired Camera Bracket on 2018 Keystone Sprinter is Wired for Backup or Observation
Question:
I have a 2018 Keystone Sprinter 269 FWRLS 5th wheel that is pre wired for the furrion backup camera. Can you tell me if the camera is on all the time or just when in reverse or if the lights are on? thanks,

I have actually reached out to Keystone before regarding this very question and the best answer they could provide was that it can essentially be wired either way (depending on the model or specific package). I know this isn't the certain answer you were looking for but they did tell me that they can track down the specific wiring configuration using the trailer's VIN.
So instead of having to actually test the wires behind that pre-wired bracket to determine how it's set up, you can make a quick call to Keystone with your VIN and they should be able to tell you if it's wired for a backup camera or observation.
Regardless of the configuration, the Furrion Vision S # FOS43TASF that you were looking at (or the # FOS05TASF for a larger 5" monitor) will work perfectly. It's designed specifically to plug right into that bracket for an easy installation and the camera itself features a durable waterproof construction and 8 integrated LEDs to provide night-time vision.
I have attached a short video demonstration that you can check out as well.
