Can Load Range C 205/75R14 Spare Tire and Wheel be Used as Spare for Load Range D 205/75R14 Tire

Question:

Gentlemen, I have a 2020 Coleman Lantern Travel Trailer, 20, and it has 2 axles with ST205/75R14 Load Range D Silver Mod wheels. the trailer is 4,328 lbs dry, so around 5,000 lbs as it sits today. It did not come with a spare, so I need to get one. I can find load range C on silver mod wheels all day long, but the range D is limited. Can I get by with a C as a spare? What are the different weight capacities for these tires in this size?

Ideally you are going to want to have four of the same size tires with the same load rating and there is an option for load range D ST205/75R14 tires and silver mod wheels, though they would need to be purchased separately and the tires would need to be put on the wheels by a tire or trailer shop.

For that you can use the Westlake ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # 274-000012 with the Taskmaster Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel - 14" x 6" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Silver # TA45MR to get the same combination of tire and wheel style you currently have.
