Best 12-Inch Trailer Tires for Pop-Up Camper Trailer

Question:

What are the diameter sizes comparing a 5.30- 12 vs 145-12 trailer tire? I was able to find the widths but not height or diameter. Have a pop up trailer with limited wheel well size. Would like to go with the tallest , largest tire

The overall diameter of a mounted and inflated tire in size 5.30-12 such as # AM30780 will be 21.9-inches. The tire size 145/80-12 such as # AM31202 is just slightly smaller in overall diameter at 21.3-inches.

In each of these tire sizes we offer several weight load ranges; I linked a page for all tire and wheel/tire products for each of the two sizes you referenced.

Ideally you will select tires with a Load Range that provides some safety margin based on the trailer's GVWR. Trailer tires should always be inflated to their maximum psi pressure as noted on the tire sidewall; and you will want to also observe their weight capacity and speed rating. The most common causes for failure of a special trailer tire are incorrect inflation, overloading the tire with too much weight and driving faster than its rated maximum speed.

You might care to refer to the two helpful articles concerning trailer tires that I linked for you.
