Tandem Axle Hanger Spacing for Double-Eye Spring e54SR

Question:

I am rebuilding the suspension on my tandem axle trailer and would like to know the recommended spacing for the spring hangers. The springs are your SP-212275, 25 1/8 inches eye to eye and the equalizers are your EQ356 with 6-I/8 inches eye to eye. the shackles are 2-1/4 between centers. Please advise. Thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:

With the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8" Long # e54SR on a tandem axle trailer, the distance between the front and center hangers and the center and rear hangers should be 29-1/2". I have added a link to our selection of hangers and hanger kits for you to take a look at, as well as a link to a help article on double eye trailer suspension which I recommend checking out.
