Superchips Programmer Says Vehicle Not Responding In Chevy Silverado

Question:

I have an 04 chevy Silverado and when i plug the superchips programmer into it, it says vehicle did not respond. I unplugged the door chime box behind the stereo as mentioned in another post. But it still doesnt work.

Since the Superchips programmer says "vehicle did not respond" the programmer is not able to communicate with the vehicle. The most common reason that a Superchips Programmer on the 2004 Chevy Silverado would not be able to communicate with the vehicle is too many aftermarket electronics so you were correct in unplugging the chime box like you mentioned. Another thing to check is to see if there is a purple wire from the back of the OBD II port then the port is already tapped into by another after market accessory and it needs to be disconnected to use the programmer.

The other common reason for the error message you are receiving is that your battery does not sufficient enough voltage.

@Dj Hey neighbor! It sounds like you went through all of the necessary troubleshooting steps to get your Flashpaq to communicate with the truck. I really wanted to find a resolution for you but there isn't much that can be done after all of that troubleshooting. I spoke to a tech at Superchips and they will probably need to do an update on your tuner. They wanted to speak to you directly. Please call 1-407-585-7000 and they can walk you through it.
