I spoke with my contact at Superchips regarding the Superchips Flaspaq F5 Performance Tuner # SU2845 in your 2004 Chevrolet SIlverado. He stated that on trucks that had a remote start or has an aftermarket stereo, there can be issues with the tuner trying to communicate with the vehicle. He recommends checking the wires going back to the OBDII port to see if there is anything spliced into the purple wire. If there is, go ahead and remove it.
Also, if the door chime sounds like it is coming from behind the stereo in the dash, instead of the door speakers, you will want to pull the stereo out and disconnect the chime box - which is a small speaker. Doing this should allow the Performance Tuner to communicate with the vehicle.
Please let me know if this does not solve the problem and I will be happy to look into it further.
