Parts Needed to Install Primus IQ Brake Controller on a 2011 Chevy Avalanche  

Question:

Have a 2011 Chevy 1500 Avalanche. If I purchase a Tekonsha 90160 Primus IQ controller, do I need to purchase a separate wire harness? Thank you.

If your 2011 Chevy Avalanche 1500 has a factory 7-Way then nothing else is needed but if you don't have the factory 7-Way at the rear of your vehicle then you do need the part # PK11916 to complete your wiring to install the Primus IQ # TK90160.

We also have a note that if you don't have the factory wiring you may also need to install a 4-Way like part # C59496 to complete your wiring.

In either case there are already some wires under your dash that you will connect the brake controller to.
