The first thing I recommend doing is checking out the max towing and payload weights for your 2004 Chevy Silverado. These can be found in the owner's manual and I do not recommend exceeding them as that can cause premature wear to your suspension as well as elsewhere on your truck (like the engine).
For your application I recommend adding suspension enhancement. This won't increase the amount of weight that you can carry but it will help to improve your loaded ride quality and take out some of that sag. If you have a 1500 LD then I recommend the part # TGMRCK15S which is rated for 8,600 lbs OR if you have a 1500 HD then I recommend the part # TGMRCK25S which is rated for 6,000 lbs. I have attached installation videos for each that you can check out.
If you find that you get a lot of trailer sway with all of this weight then I also recommend using the Curt Tru Course # C94VV which helps to keep your trailer in-line by quickly activating your trailer brakes in short bursts to correct sway.
