Trouble Removing the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter 3016 From a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
I need to remove the 3016 harness from my 2018 chevy silverado to place in another chevy so I can use my brake controller on that truck, but I cant disconnect it from the port under the dash. Is there a trick to disconnect it? The blue tab is still in the plug.

Expert Reply:
The blue tab on the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3016 must be pulled out towards you and or removed from the connector in order to remove the harness from your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500. This harness works with GM trucks from 2014-2019 so if you have a different year just let me know and I will get you the correct harness.
