Can Just Hub and Drum be Replaced When Brakes are Not Engaging

I recently changed the bearings on my 2016 Stryker 2512 toy hauler and noticed that one corner had a bad seal and some grease was on the pads. I cleaned everything and did the other 3 corners grease seals were good on those. Adjusted the brakes and have a noticeable pulse when coming to a stop. I should mention the pulse was there before I did the bearings as well. When I adjusted the brakes you could tell the shoes werent contacting the drum evenly. Im thinking warped rotors. Can I get away with replacing just the drum/hub assembly or do I need to replace the brake shoe assembly as well? The shoes appeared to be in great shape as the trailer only has roughly 5k miles on it. 5200lbs Lippert axles by the way.

If your brakes are still good you can just replace the hub and drum assembly. What you should do is check the drum and try and see or feel if there are any grooves on the inside of the drum. If there are then that would be the issue and you would need to replace the assembly. Based on your previous info, a 5,200 lb axle with Bearings # 25580, # LM67048 and Grease Seal # GS-2250DL, you will need the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 5,200-lb Axles - 12" - 6 on 5-1/2 # K08-201-97.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
