Best Replacement Roof Rack for a 2019 Subaru Outback To Use With Thule Hullavator
Question:
I have a 2015 Outback with the factory stowaway crossbars. How can you recommend the Thule fit kit that attaches to the stowed crossbars when my Subaru owners manual states that they should not be used in this way. It very clearly states that you should not attach anything to the cross bars when they are in the stowed position.

It you do not wish to attach a set of crossbars to the raised side rails which just so happen to also be the crossbars in the stowed position on your 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon then you can use the Yakima JetStream Crossbar System part # Y00426, part # Y53TR, and part # Y00241 which actually replaces the factory crossbars. This option will be inline with the owner's manual and it does not limit your crossbar spread like the option that you mentioned would.
The above would then allow you to use the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier part # TH898.
