Could Kuat Sherpa Bike Rack be Used with Hitch Extension
Question:
Will the Sherpa work with a hi lo extension on a jeep wrangler with a factory class2 hitch? I have two bikes that are light to medium in weight at about 34 lbs each. I need the hi low extension to clear my 35inch spare. I see that the sherpa 2.0 says class 1 and 2 and the NV 2.0 says class 3 Thank you

What size hitch do you have? Is it a 2 inch opening or a 1-1/4 inch opening? If it's a 2 inch opening you can use a hitch extension with the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 part # SH22G but you will be cutting the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. This hitch is designed for 2 inch hitches which are most commonly Class III.
