How To Bypass the Factory Trailer Wiring Harness On a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
Would it be best to install an after market system? Is it simply a plug and use?

If you do not wish to take your 2003 Nissan Pathfinder into the dealer to have the factory trailer wiring harness repaired then yes, it will be best to just replace this with an aftermarket trailer wiring harness. I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118361 which is completely plug and play. This aftermarket trailer wiring harness will work just fine alongside the factory trailer wiring harness as they will be on separate circuits and this option will be far more cost effective than repairing factory trailer wiring harness.
I have attached an install video for you on the above as well.
