Choosing Between Dexter Axle and Axle-Tech Replacement Brakes for a 2009 Palomino Pony Pop-Up
Question:
Hello, I have 2009 Palomino Pony pop-up camper. Its weight is about 2200lbs. I pulled the hub and noticed that brakes are in rough shape and solenoid is dislodged. See pictures of brakes and axle. Please let me know which replacement brakes to buy, since I see you have two options, one being more expensive Dexter axle brakes. Thanks

Both the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-47-48 and the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-2 are excellent options to replace the brake assemblies on your 2009 Palomino Pony pop-up camper. A lot of the Dexter Axle kit price comes from the name in all honesty, but this is also because they have been around for a long time and they really know what they are doing so you can trust their quality. Dexter Axle brakes are also made in the USA which is something that can't be said for a lot of trailering products.
The brake kit that we sell is made by AxleTek which is also a great company - it just isn't as well-known as Dexter Axle. The quality might not be as on par with Dexter Axle, but it's still reliable and get's the job done.
I recommend using our kit just because it is more cost-effective and still great quality that you won't be disappointed with. I have attached review videos for each that you can check out.
