Does it Matter if You Have Brakes or Idler Hubs When Measuring Hub Face on Trailer Axle
Question:
Is there a measurement distance on hub face if you have brakes rotors or just hubs

The hub face measurement on an axle would be the same if you have idler hubs or hubs/drums. The Dexter Trailer Axle part # 35545I-EZ-89 for example which has idler hubs uses the same axle as the Dexter Trailer Axle part # 35545E-ST-89 which has hubs/drums and they both have an 89" hub face measurement. I have attached for you below steps for picking out the correct axle replacement as well.
In order to choose the correct replacement axle for a trailer you'll first want to start with the weight capacity. The weight capacity can be found on the axle tag in the center of the beam. Then, you'll need to measure the hub face (center of hub face to center of hub face) and spring center (center of spring center to center of spring center). This will then give you the info needed to pick out the correct replacement axle for your trailer.
