Weight Distribution System Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-150 Towing Camper

Question:

So online I see my 2017 F150 can tow 7600# max. I also see that the hitch says 5000# and 500# tw. Does this mean it can not tow the 7600# it says with this hitch? Im looking at a camper that was awarded one of the best for light trucks. Unloaded weight is 5700# and its tw labeled as 600#. Fully loaded 7000#.

You can tow the weight of your camper but you are going to need a weight distribution system since the second set of capacities you found is for if you are using a weight distribution system that helps redistribute the tongue weight of the trailer up to the front axle of the tow vehicle.

The best option is the Reese Strait Line kit part # RP66083 which has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs like you need and also has the best sway control that works to fight sway before it starts. I attached a review video link for this for you to check out as well.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
