Inexpensive Tow Bar for a 2003 Honda Civic EX
Question:
Will this Curt C19745 tow bar fit on the bumper of a 2003 Honda Civic EX to flat tow it, or is a baseplate also required? I am trying to flat tow this Civic as cost effectively as possible. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms part # C19745 would not mount directly to the front bumper fascia on your 2003 Honda Civic EX because it is made of plastic. In order to use this tow bar you would need to remove the front bumper fascia and attach this to the bumper support beam or the core support arms.
If you do not want to remove the front bumper fascia each time then your only option would be a set of base plates and tow bar. The cost cost effective option we have for this is the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit part # 521537-1 with the Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar part # RM-020. For lighting, we have the Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights part # C6304.
