The Derale Transmission Pan Cooler, part # D14207, will install in place of your factory transmission pan. You can use the factory transmission filter on your 1999 Chevrolet Suburban 4WD 7.4L engine.
The Derale # D14207 pan cooler is larger than the factory pan and will increase the fluid capacity by 4-1/2 quarts, but will not require a deep filter adapter because the fluid will be around the cooling tubes at the bottom of the pan. It provides additional cooling by using the cooling tubes on the bottom of the pan.
