Recommended Kayak Carrier for One Time Trip
Question:
Hi there. Im looking at renting a pair of kayaks for a day trip and am wondering about the best way to attach them to my car. I drive a 2010 Infiniti G37. I looked into getting a universal roof rack or something similar but It seemed like an awfully large expense for what will likely be a one time thing. The drive from the rental place to the lake would likely only take 20 minutes. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks!

The Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG152 is the perfect solution for this type of application.
This is a really economical and practical system for transporting a kayak that doesn't require any kind of permanent or time-consuming installation. This kit includes two foam blocks that will simply sit on top of your Infiniti's bare roof to provide a base for 1 kayak. All the needed tie-down straps are included to secure the kayak into place. As soon as your day trip is over the blocks can quickly be removed from the vehicle and stored away until the lake calls again. For a pair of kayaks you will just need to order two of the kits.
You will just want to make sure that you have enough space on your vehicle's roof for the width of both the kayaks you plan on transporting. The foam blocks themselves measure 18 inches long.
I have attached a short video review and the written instructions manual that you can check out as well.
