Replacing B78-13ST Trailer Tires on a 1991 Coleman Pop Up Camper
Question:
Looking at replacing the B78-13ST tires on my 91 Coleman pup before going on a long trip. Would like to stay bias as that is what I have for spare. GVWR is 2750 lbs. Any suggestions. Thanks.

The modern equivalent to a B78-13ST is going to be a 175/80-13 trailer tire. The tires and wheels that we have in this size come in 2 different bolt patterns, 4 on 4 or 5 on 4-1/2.
For a 4 on 4, in a galvanized wheel like the one you have referenced, we have # AM3S130. This is a load range C tire with 1,360 pound capacity at 50 psi.
For a 5 on 4-1/2, we have # AM31242, that you have referenced. This is a load range D rated for 1,660 pounds at 65 psi.
If you just want the tires and not the wheels, use # AM1ST77.
You can go for a higher load range, but the capacity you mentioned of 2,750 pounds would be the limiting factor and you could not go above that even if the tires are rated higher.
