Will Stabilizer Jack Leg Fit in MaxxTow Adjustable-Height Ball Mount

Question:

What are the dimensions of the square leg? I wanted to use the leg foot from the Square Leg Stabilizer Jack with 18 inch Travel in place of the adjustable ball mount on the MaxxTow Adjustable-Height Ball Mount - 2inch Hitch for trailer stabilization. I will be mounting a 2 inch receiver on both sides of my trailer so it will accept a 2 inch ball mount. The attached pic is where another trailer has it welded on permanently. I want mine to be similarly installed while in use and stored away when traveling. I am open to suggestions as to simplify.

I went to take some measurements for you and found the leg of the Square Drop Leg Stabilizer Jack # SJ-R208 measured 1-1/4" outside to outside of the leg itself and 1-1/2" for the mounting bracket. The tube portion of the MaxxTow Adjustable-Height Ball Mount # MT70068 that accepts the ball mount measures about 2-1/2" from outside to outside and 2-1/8" inside to inside.

So the stabilizer jack leg would physically fit inside the ball mount; the only issue is that the pull pin from the stabilizer jack is just over 2-1/2" wide so it would be a tight fit to get the pin through the ball mount. This may work but I can't guarantee it and the better option is to go with simple swing down stabilizer jacks, the Stallion Stabilizer Jacks # 288-01892-2 or scissor jacks such as the Scissor Stabilizer Jacks w/ Handle # TJSCHD-24.

I've added links to video reviews of each of these parts for you to check out as well.
