Can Trailer Hitches for 2019 Honda Passport be Used With Weight Distribution

Question:

I see there are two trailer hitches for 2019 honda passport. Can both be used with weight distribution? I know there are some vehicles that have hitches that can't be used with WDS so i just wanted to be sure. Are there any differences when using weight distribution with these hitches?

Both the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 76290 and Curt Trailer Hitch # C13421 that fit your 2019 Honda Passport can be used with a weight distribution system like the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET or Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0600.

The only difference between the two hitches when they are being used with a weight distribution system is their capacities. The Draw-Tite without a WDS has a 6,000 lb towing capacity but when used with weight distribution has an 8,000 lb towing capacity (but maintains its hefty 900 lb tongue weight capacity either way).

The Curt hitch has a 5,000 lb towing capacity without a WDS but using weight distribution its capacity is 6,000 lbs (it maintains its 750 lb tongue weight either way).

Both hitches are very simple no-drill installs and each hitch also comes with a lifetime warranty.

If you do plan on towing you'll also need wiring to power your trailer's lights, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56291.

I've added links to the install instructions of the hitches and wiring harness for you to check out.
