It's very common for people to use a 50 amp power source on a 30 amp camper like what you are trying to do. Basically you'd want to use the 30 amp surge protector after the dogbone 50 amp to 30 amp adapter like the part # A10-5030FBK that you referenced. This protects your 30 amp RV from overdrawing.

I have a 30AMP trailer in which I use a 30 AMP surge protector. I will be staying in a park that only have 50AMP service. Can this adapter be used in this instance, and do I connect my 30 AMP surge protector to this adapter without any issues?

Yes, the Mighty Cord Adapter # A10-5030FBK is exactly what you would need for this application. You'll want to continue using your existing 30 amp surge protector to protect against higher voltage on your camper.
