Placement of Reese Universal Base Rails and Brackets on 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed

2006 2500 crew cab chevy. Where do I place the bed rails for a Reese 5th wheel hitch. 6.5ft bed I bought the universal ten bolt brackets

I have added a cut out of the linked instructions for the placement of the brackets and base rails when installing the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10 Bolt # RP30035 in your 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.
As you can see, from the rear edge of your Chevy's bed to the rear edge of the base rail will be 25-1/8 inches. I recommend checking out the linked instructions for the complete installation details.
