I checked with the manufacturer and the Curt Solid 2-Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 2" and 2-5/16" Balls - 10K - Chrome # C45002 does have a hollow shank.
This ball mount has a capacity of 7,500 lbs when used with its 2" hitch ball or 10,000 lbs when used with its 2-5/16" hitch ball.
