Replacement Axle for Trailer with 46-1/2 Inch Spring Center

Question:

I figured that might be my option. Since the hub on one side was destroyed, I really cannot get a measure face to face, so I measured one face to the center (28.125) time two would be 56.250". The center to center of the dimple in the landing for the leaf spring bolts is about 46.500 - 46.625".) The trailer has leaf springs, and has a capacity of 1170 pounds. The wheels I have are 5 lug 4 1/2" bolt circle. Since I have two plus a spare, I'd like to stay with these wheels. I hope that helps!

Unfortunately, we do not have any trailer hubs with the bearings that you need. Would you be open to replacing the entire axle? This would be the only option we have for you. If so then I would need you to measure the distance between each hub face and the spring center. I would also need to know the capacity and if it is a leaf spring or torsion system.

It looks like the best option we have for you is going to be the CE Smith Trailer Axle w/ Idler Hubs part # CE33201GA-HUB which has a 46-1/2" spring center to spring center, 57-1/2" hub face to hub face, and an 1,800 lb weight capacity. It also comes with two idler hubs that use a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.
