Drop Shank Recommendation for Weight Distribution that Needs 9 inches of Drop

Question:

i purchased the equalizer sway control hitch for my 2011 Escape. It came with a 3inch shank. I now have a new vehicle, 2019 Jeep Cherokee. I have a 2015 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 165 RB. The height of the receiver to ground is 21. the height of tongue to ground is 12inch and I think this is a 12inch . So the original shank will not fit. What do I purchase to replace it?

You'd need a shank that can give you the 9 inches of drop you'd need to allow your trailer to be towed level. For that we have the Curt shank part # C17124 which can do up to 9 inches of drop. The great thing about the weight distribution shanks is that between manufacturers they all decided to make the shank/head attachment to the same dimensions so you can use a different brand shank with basically any system.
