Dimensions of the Draw-Tite Front Hitch 65048 for a Jeep CJ-5
Question:
Im trying to figure out if I can make this part work for a 1977 CJ5. It has the original bumper. If I have to drill holes through and put longer bolts in that would not be a big deal. I am looking for the length dimensions if possible as I have a brush guard that is mounted to the frame now where the bolts on this should line up. any info would help. thanks.

I went out to our warehouse for you and measured the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65048. The actual cross tube is 28-1/4" long. The bolt holes are 31" apart on center and the outside to outside flange measurement is 33" long. I have attached a photo to assist.
Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for using the above with a brush guard as we do not recommend doing so because as you mentioned, they mount in the same location. However, if you want to use longer bolts and or drill new holes then you are welcome to do so.
